Dräger Premium Hood for X-plore 8500, Long Hood | Reusable Safety Hood for PAPR

The Dräger X-plore Premium Hood is the ideal addition to the X-plore 8500 Powered Air-Purifying Respirator (PAPR) set. Compared to the regular hood, this premium version is reusable and can be easily connected to the Dräger PAPR system.

Offering safety and comfort, even during long work shifts, the lightweight hood has a protection factor of TH3, making it suitable for wearers of prescription glasses. The soft, comfortable, and low-noise material is oil and water-resistant, expanding the range of application possibilities.

The dual-layer neck guard provides additional safety when combined with a protective suit. The Dräger Premium Hood comes in two sizes, S/M and L/XL, to fit a wide range of head circumferences, from 20.4 inches to 25.2 inches.

All Dräger Premium Hoods are certified (NIOSH 42 CFR Part 84) for use with the following Dräger PAPR devices: X-plore 8500, X-plore 8700, X-plore 7300, and X-plore 7500.

The Dräger X-plore 8500 PAPR Kit includes the blower unit with head gear and filter recognition, a high-capacity battery with up to 16 hours of runtime and fast-charging in less than 4 hours, a comfort pad for the belt, a standard belt, and a flexible hose to connect the hood (no filter included, sold separately).

The X-plore 8500 PAPR system from Dräger eliminates the problem of exhaustion from breathing through a filter, constantly supplying the user with fresh, filtered air. The robust and modern design is suitable for even the toughest work environments, while the intelligent Click&Go system allows for quick filter and hood exchange.

The PAPR hood set does not include a filter, but Dräger offers a wide range of filters for the X-plore 8500. The system features acoustic and optical alarms, such as when the particle filter needs to be replaced, and three different airflow levels to ensure comfortable breathing.
